Gino memories from the 90s in Toronto

I live in NYC now, but I was in Toronto in the 90s. I am ashamed to say that I was heavily into gino beats back then. I did not discover trance until 1997. Even though gino beats lack the intelligence and intensity of present-day trance, I get a warm nostaligic feeling when I listen to the "classics"
So I would like to present a gift to all the TOTAs who got their start in the gino clubs of Toronto. This will take you back...

ohhhh man
my high school days (1992-1997) were pure gino beats.
i loved euro and freestyle. lil suzy, collage, stevie b, first base, la bouche, real mccoy, ice mc...
going to all ages clubs like paparazzi, the original palazzo, shock... and my high school's favourite, goddess.
damn the memories.
i think i was the first asian guido back then. there were no asians in any of the clubs that i went to. it was all european all the time. there were people that i met that started calling me the 'asian gino'. lol. good times. |

| i think alot of us started out with that type of music and our EDM taste eventually evolved beyond that into bigger and better things. From GINOS AND GINAS to HOUSEHEADS and TRANCEADDICTS. |

darude - sandstorm <--- track 1 of my very first dance/trance/house/euro/techno cd (back then i didn't know the difference :stongue: )
it didn't take long though, my second cd had stuff like 'push - strange world' 'dumonde - never look back'
but back then not being of age, i'd have to resort to going to all ages euro invasions at the docks :haha: |

| Speaking of 90's euro...I absolutely love Karen Overton's remake of Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms" that is currently being caned by Armin and Tiesto. Really takes me back to some classic times. |
