| hostel was entertaining, NOT scary. It had a bunch of gore, but all the blood and violence seemed to be overdone on purpose - almost to a comedic effect. I mean ... come on ... the whole part of the movie where the main guy is rolled around in a human-body-parts cart ... that's not scary or gory, it's just ridiculous. |

sounds like "The Hills Have Eyes" - very stupid, and NOT scary at all.

| The only reason that I saw it was because of a preview showing the kid talking to that bald guy in the bathroom during his escape. If the whole movie was about that guy and others like him, it would've been decent. Otherwise Hostel was just another camp horror movie. Minus the horror... |
