The Test is my favorite of their videos, not tracks, though.

The lyrics are awesome. As is the cascading wave-breaking way they build the track.

Of course, this is the bread and butter for any true Chems fan. ;) I went apesh*t over "Leave Home" when released a decade ago...I still remember totally losing it upon playback of the vinyl with some friends; good times.

Re: Chem greats...there are also all their remixes from the early to mid 90's...Lionrock's Packet of Peace, St. Etienne's Like a Motorway, Sabres of Paradise's Tow Truck, Leftfield's Open Up, Primal Scream's Jailbird and The Charlatans vs. The Chems release. They used to be one of my top remixers...highly sought after at the time.

Don't forget Voodoo People.

And I am the only one who notices a lot of similarities between some Chems tracks and Stone Roses tracks? Setting Sun is a dead ringer for Begging You, while the Psychedelic Reel reminds me of the climax of I Am The Resurrection (even though they don't use the same melodies or instruments).

Personally, I loved Star Guitar.

What has been said, a brilliant track which still works like a charm today. Dig Your Own Hole as a whole is among my favs.

My favourite track on that album was "Dig Your Own Hole". However I hold a special place for "The Private Psychedelic Reel" and I do know what you are talking about.

I recently went on a long drive and had this song stuck in my head the whole time. I had decided to play it when I first got up that morning (5:00 a.m!). I had it screaming. then I had it in my head aaaaaaaaalllllllll day. Uh... yeah.... I dont wanna hear it for a while. :stongue:

Anyway, the first time I heard it I was like... "whoah."
