My friend has a 93 Honda Civic at the moment with all the works of "TOTAL JDM TITE." He put on a Greddy exhaust as soon as he got it and now he's in the mood for performance. He's thinking about cutting it out and replacing it with either a "TOTAL DOMESTIC TITE" Flowmaster or Magnaflow system. I know they sound completely awesome on 6cyls. My question is whether it's still going to come out whiny-whiny like all 4cyls with exhausts. It would go great with his sidemarkers. and no, he can't afford an '05 mustang gt.
(i saw a saleen '05 mustang yesterday, wow) |

You'll get the same performance out of a 1993 Civic with a custom Magnaflow system instead of the Greddy exhaust... Afterall, it's a 1993 Civic...
P.S. No matter what you do, a Honda 4cyl will always sound like a Honda 4cyl! :p And what does an exhaust have to do with sidemarkers??? |

| Dude! you need to torbocharge your clutch pedal and change the exhaust sparkplugs! and then put some yellow flames in the front, you will get like like 120hp then!!! |

| If he wants "performance" he will need an engine swap. Its not worthe the plus or minus 2hp on the exhaust.....wait Is the Greedy just the "can" itself or is it catback? If its not catback then switch to a catback magnaflow. There isnt much performance wise unless he puts in the more tunable engines like a B22....then he can create a monster of a honda. |

yes, he has a catback. Personally, I'd like him to put in headers, but he's a little nervous about shelling out the $ and later finding out it's not smog legal (california). His friend owns a performance shop, so I've thought about suggesting he asking him to "hook him up" with cheap dyno tests after purchasing a rom editor or something.
btw, are there any websites showing a civic with a RWD conversion? Just a question, as i enjoy reading about any RWD conversions. |
