The mixer is a DJM600 I think
djxtension
CDJ, except for backspins ofcourse... ;)

I just can not get used to scratching with CDJ-1000's. Cueing and stuff is just as easy using CDJ-mode, so I don't see any reason for me to use Vinyl-mode.

Is the Pioneer the only brand of cd turntables that features a vinyl mode? I was looking at the Denon's and a couple others and couldn't find the option on the model. I ask because I have only ever used Pioneer 800's and up and they both feature vinyl mode which is what I like to use.

Many of them do, but every manufacturer is different in terms of exactly how it works.

The upper range denons have it, although again it's a bit different (one notable difference is that the platter actually spins like a record, and you control it exactly the same as a record).

Numark also has a few...the CDX being one. It's the turntable looking thing that is actually a cd player...see below. Again, this is like the denon...manipulated exactly like vinyl.

Stanton has a couple of new cd players that are the closest to the pioneer that I know of...with a weird vinyl-like mode that doesn't have anything spinning but emulates vinyl with a touch sensitive platter. Here's a pic of that one:

That's all that I know of, although I haven't been in the market for a cd player for a while so there might be others, though i doubt it.

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot to mention the Technics. Again, has a spinning platter exactly like vinyl.

CDJ mode until I can figure out how to set cue points in the damn vinyl mode.

I don't own CDJs so I just learn as I go.
