what's the big deal with getting a cell phone?
Here if I want a phone I have to bring a slip from the bank proving I have an account for paying every month and then I can pick a phone and have it right away .... I guess it's different for your Psy T. |

no network or outlet has imported it here yet, very few phones do get imported, and they usually take about a year from being on the shelves in europe to being on the shelves in israel. they also cost more by at least 50% here, and contract deals save very little money.
i wanted this phone in particular ever since i first saw it and read it's specs; to order it, i had to get an approval from the ministry of communications (it wasn't particularily hard, just time consuming - took 20 days or so, but at the same time, it was all uncharted territory), and the funds (extra money from the insurance cheque covered that).... |

That sounds like a lot of crap you have to go through just to get a damn cell phone.
I live in the city so the shops are closer but I bet in less then 15 minutes I could go to a shop pick a phone and have it working! |

well, i could have gotten a nokia 6680 at far less effort, but it would've costed more than this one (and i like this one a lot better) |

Congrats on your military release and the cool phone. My Cingular contract is about to run out which means cheap/free phone time, so Ill be hitting you up when Im shopping for a new one.
