Anyone else play this game? I usually dont get around to playing too many ps2 games but this caught my eye.
Graphics are beautiful..Music is amazing..The controls are great..but one thing gets quite annoying...all you do is fight colossi..no puzzles..no other weapons besides the two you start with..what were they thinking?
Their are other weapons to be found..but you have to beat the game once than beat it again in time attack mode which I think is asking a bit much..beating 16 colossus 3 times to unlock an array of new weapons? :whip:
A great game though..from the same people who made Ico
Here are some screenshots

Great game though just wish it had a lil more to it |

SCEI's Shadow of the Colossus stole the show last week at the Game Developers Choice Awards.
It won:
Honors in Innovation (along with Guitar Hero and Nintendogs)
Best Game Design
Best Character Design
Best Visual Arts
AND
Best Game of the Year (2005)
The rest of the awards were won by:
Best New Studio - Double Fine Productions (Psychonauts)
Best Writing - Psychonauts
Best Audio - Guitar Hero
Best Technology - Nintendogs
It was pretty damn funny how the team (Atsuko Fukuyama, Hitoshi Niwa, Shunpei Suzuki, Junichi Hosono, and Fumito Ueda) had basically NOTHING to say the first time they came around to pick up their first award of the night. The next few times they started talking about how production of the game went. It was interesting but... all but one of them spoke Japanese. No one wanted to translate. :(
Have you played the 'sequel' of Shadow, yet? Ico is also an amazing game. |

| I haven't picked it up just yet because i have too many games to start/complete as is. though i did play it when my mate bought it over. it seemed really fun and i loved how you could climb all over these massive things, and the sense of achievment when you actually down the ****** is amazing. |

| my favorite game of 2005 not to mention one of the best games i've ever played. the game is beautiful, the way its presented is amazing. the only thing i don't like is how the game makes you feel guilty for killing some of the colossi |

| Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is definitely up there as one of the best titles ever. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is as good if not better! |

| I really liked it, i just thought it really was very repetetive. You kill a huge monster by whacking it in the right place, it dies, you do it 15 more times, the game finishes. If it had a little more to it, it would be amazing, it's just not all that it's hyped to be in my opinion. And it's ing frustrating as well. |
