But here is the obvious question no one is asking... why are they only picking on mostly european illegals?

There are an estimated 15,000 illegal Portuguese immigrants currently living and working in the GTA and all are targets following a recent promise by immigration Canada to be more aggressive in getting them deported.
But some say their value in Canada is being vastly underestimated.
“These are people who in fact are very much contributing to the economy and growth of this city and country,” said Toronto Liberal M.P. Mario Silva.
As for the Alvez family, they’re left just hoping for a last-minute miracle before they have to wake up and start anew.
“It’s nothing but memories,” said Alvez’s son, Rafael.
“It’s like a dream that happened and you woke up and it’s all over.”
And of course their deportation will affect many in Canada who aren’t going anywhere.
“To not be able to see them anymore, that’s my most emotional point,” said Melanie Desousa, an Alvez family friend |

they had this story covered on Global news last night.
I am sure there are MANY others that are in Canada illegally. Why narrow it down to Europeans? Why don't they target everyone then?
Doesn't make any sense. |

you know why?
europeans and media wont cry out "racism" at the drop of a hat. It's politically less dangerous to do it this way.
I say deport ALL illegals no matter their race. That way it's definately not racism. But to go after just the europeans is very racist indeed. And the hypocrisy is that society doesn't even see it that way.
I know too many people in this country who struggled to get in the legit way. And its a slap int he face to them when illegals are allowed to live here unabated. |

I was actually watching W5, and they did a report on this 2 weeks ago.
They were talking to the very people who set up these deportations, and they said they do it fill a quota. Meaning, they picked the people it was EASIEST to deport. They said that a lot of the violent criminals, were harder to catch and deport.
So they were strickly going after the people, who were probably holding good jobs, and trying to work for a living.
They didnt care about why there were deporting these people, they were just trying to meet the numbers. booooooooooooooooooo
If you are white, black, hispanic, indian, chineese, and you are in this great country, and shouldnt be, GET THE OUT, and stop draining our system. My mom worked her ass of to get us in this country, and you are right, it is a slap in the face. |

you would think that would be the easiest way to do it.
then no blame to be placed at all... just everyone who isn't suppose to be here won't be here anymore. |

| 640 news is all over this, bottom line Europeans are too hardworking to spend another second running around in backword beaucratic circles in Canada aswell....they are too smart to do anything other than let politicians talk until they forget the topic......I think this is more of a "it's not just non-whites who are illegal immigrants" type of BS story. |

My friend's dad was actually complaining about them, and how they work for a much lower rate than legal citizens. He said a lot of people are having a hard time finding work, because so many construction projects are made up of mostly Portuguese workers.
This was a year or more ago. |

Ever been to reporting centre on 6900 missisauga rd? hundreads of people are scheduled to appear for pre removal interview every day ,mostly non european. You dont know what are you talking about Jay. |
