Buffalo to NW PA is 280 miles. Look at ing map.
That's Northwestern PA you were in. The town's name just happens to be Northeast.
Wanna guess where Northwestern University is? Three choices:
A. Seattle, Washington
B. Louisiana
C. Northwestern Massachusetts |
There is one in Chicago Il, but they also have a campus in Evanston Il.
There is another one in Natchitoches, Louisiana |

would it not work if you lived an hour away from her family?
also would she be willing to move to Toronto with you to be an hour away from her family?
by the way our birthdays are only 2 days apart. if you came we would have to party together at the annual labour or love party that weekend in Toronto anyway. :)
oh and you also mentioned NYC.... I often drive back and forth from Toronto area to NYC. The drive takes about 6 horus from Niagra Falls. |

Nightlife in Niagara is non existant.
Basically Niagara is a tale of 2 towns. One is a typical sleepy small town with nothing to do. The other is the tourist area that gets boring fast. Its set up to overcharge american tourists and there really isnt much to see unless you like to gamble or look at wax museums. I wouldnt move to niagara.
Hell i want to get out of toronto because i find toronto boring lately, never mind niagara!
Just shows you that the media makes something seem bigger than it is. People must think niagara is some cool amazing place to be when really its a polluted industrial blue collar crappy small town that happens to be next to a big waterfall. |

| Everyone is saying you'd only be able to find tourist/hospitality related jobs - do your research. Not sure what your background is, but I do know there is a Post Cereal (Kraft) plant right in Niagara Falls (surprisingly enough - just a little north on Lundy's Lane) so I'd imagine there are some other industries in the area you can tap into. |

In terms of EDM, Buffalo caters to mostly a drum n bass/ breaks crowd- mainly at the opium lounge:

There really isn't much else there. Actually, last couple times I was at the Sundowner in Niagara Falls, about 60% of the music they played was mainstream house- the world is mine, shiny disco balls, etc. So you're best bet in Niagara Falls/Buffalo for EDM or any kind of nightlife is the Sundowner. I'm not kidding. My gf didn't like the first time there, but she got used to it. Once you reach a certain age, all the crappy hangouts for tourists and 19 year olds lose their appeal. (sorry if I offended any 19 year olds).
I can't believe Northeast, PA was mentioned on this forum. I worked in a "city" that I won't mention a few more miles to the west. |
