Someone made a religion out of The Matrix trilogy.

No kidding. I read about it in The Sun. It was part of the book review for "The Joy of Sects" by Sam Jordison. |

What a tool... I can't really take someone seriously when they link to budwiser and MTV from there religeous site.
As far as religeons go based on science fiction theres no reason why it cannot go far... Look at scientoligy |

In the lore of The Matrix the blue pill is the one you don't want to take. In other words putting MTV, Budweiser and Exxon down under the blue pill is like saying that those companies are a stack of crap.
Just FYI :) |

| Thats actually kind of a crazy site if you think about it. It demands the use of psychadelics, meaning that if theyre a truly recognized religion, their practices will be legal for members. No pot though... |

The spiritual use of hallucinogens could very well be on its way to legality. The US supreme court actually ruled in favor of it very recently. Don't believe it? Check out this article from the BBC titled "US Court Backs Hallucinogenic Tea".

By the way Matrixism doesn't actually "demand" that you take psychedelics. This comes from their FAQ:
"Q: Do I necessarily have to take psychedelics to be a matrixist?
A: No. All that is necessary is for one to recognize psychedelics as a valid method of spiritual practice." |

I can see it now a refined and much improved The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. That being said they'll probably drink tea instead http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4737994.stm.
