the DJM500 is black
the DJM600 is silver, it's a bit more expensive, has an effects knob for controlling the wet/dry mix of the FX, and a beat sampler. |

In the PCV-175
When you connect your headphones and listen to the cue, And the volium is down in the pgm
meaning sound is only heard from the headphones and not from the speakers, do you hear any changes in the equalizer?
if youll change it, and BTW
do you have good headphones? |

| No, I don't hear individual EQ changes, but I do in the overall monitor. I have extremely good headphones, worth around £110/$150, well I luv them, I'm not a fan of the V6. I believe all Vestax mixers have the EQ setup like this. I used 2 hav a Stanton RM3, which let me hear individual EQ changes, but I prefer the 175 overall. |

do you think it will be wise if i will connect the headphones to the ampilifier to hear individual EQ changes over the headphones?
or just to leave it?
because if the pgm volium is up i can hear individual EQ changes. |

Instead of going for the 100s, I would get the CDJ700s or a pair of 500II Ltds.
Why?
The DJM 600 already has tons of built-in effects. Granted, you can only apply them to one channel at a time, or the master output. But with the 700s or 500IIs (which are selling cheap due to the CDJ1000), you get seamless looping, which the 100s lack. Something to think about, especially if you play trance...I find the looping indispensable.

Say you've got this beautiful epic trance song with a massive buildup, and you want to emphasize the lead-in to the buildup. With the Pioneer decks, you can do this as the track is playing: At the beginning of the lead-in, you press the "Loop In" button. As the lead-in progresses to the build-up, press the "Loop Out" button. As the build-up nears its climax, you decide to tease the crowd by playing the whole lead-in again. You hit the "Reloop" button & the music instantly starts playing at the lead-in point again. There is no lag time and it sounds just as though you're playing some wicked remix. You can control whether the CD plays just this loop you've created or continues seamlessly to the next portion of the song. You can also set loops to eliminate the big breakdowns that are so common in trance music.
Hope my crude explanation helped. basically, looping is a way of creating a sample, from 1 frame to 10 minutes long, that you can use as a sample for stabs, etc. or have it play over and over in the case of a wicked drumbeat or synth line.
My argument in getting a player with looping is that the CDJ100s will never be able to do this, but the DJM600 mixer has all the effects of the 100s built-in....PLUS a sampler.
