As a matter of fact I can name a lot of them...
Lets see... there of course was Papa Smurf and Smurfette, everyone knows them... Then there was Gradnpa smurf who was older then papa smurf, brainy smurf, lazy smurf, Vanity smurf (the gay one), Handy smurf, Clumsy Smurf, Painter smurf, Jokey Smurf, Poet smurf (the other gay one), Greedy smurf, Grouchy Smurf, Dopey, and Doc.... Anyways there were others and then the baby smurfs.... Which come to think of it was odd, you never saw smurfette knocked up but *Poof* there were babies! There were three chicks though Grandma smurf, Smurfette, and the little girl smurf in later seasons. Ummm even sicker is that if smurfette was not getting knocked up then it was either the old bitch or the under 13 one!!
Yes, the smurfs were evil Cici, just like your mom used to tell you and that is why you should not have watched them! The Smurfs lived in a mushroom village.... were all about community, peace and love... Some had magical powers.... Yep there was something REALLY special about them shrooms they lived in!!! The smurfs promoted drug use and if you watched them you would have turned into a druggie..... Errr wait, you sure you did not sneak a few episodes in?!?
Ok, I think I have educated you kids enough on the wonderful world that was the smurfs... If you ever want to know what they were really about, a way for the creator of the smurfs to spread his socialist views and create a marxist utopian society for children to see, then just ask! :) |

| yeah...i was living in Oklahoma at the time...and goin to a church where ppl danced in the aisles and spoke in tongues. This is like the early 80's...so I wasn't allowed to watch tv because it was evil. hahaha! moved to Smyrna, Georgia in 86 or 87 and became a latchkey kid! and there's a lil about Miss Cici that you didn't know.. |

I always thought that "smurfing" meant to employ a team of people to purchase large amounts of red phosphorus and (pseudo)ephedra, in small increments in the form of cold medicine and matches, for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine.
All the stuff about carding us at the walmart to buy cold medicine was in affect an "anti-smurfing law" meant to keep people from buying alot of cold medicing and extracting the ephedra.
the word also seems to be used in other crime related activity to describe the general practice of dividing large amounts of contraband into small amounts for purpose of avoiding the law. Like in money laundering, or gathering large amounts of other illegal items in small increments.
So maybe you shouldn't use that word in public, especially at a clubs in the south where you may encounter people who understand the other definition. |
