What are people doing 4/1/2006 in SF?
Bad Boy Bill is at Ruby Skye
Popsicle (rave) is at Bill Graham Civic Center
I would rather not go to a rave because its not my scene, but it seems to have a decent line up... is anyone going to either of these events?? |

All bias aside, total double edge sword.
Popsicle: Compared to allll the Raves I've ever been too, Skills ones are actually the best. Why? You don't have 200 e-puddles everywhere. Yes, it's 18+ so the crowd is a bit younger than usual, but if you are with the right group you will be perfectly fine. The ty part is just getting alcohol. The lines at the venue will be stupid and so will the bartenders. Advise: Show up already completely lit so you won't have to worry tooo much about alcohol.
Bad Boy Bill @ Ruby Skye: He draws HUGE crowds there. That is, huge crowds full of . RS always has good access to bars. Nice and fast. But you will be in a crowd full of stuck up s who pay no attention to the space around them...so you will find yourself being agitated easily. |

| popsicle will have the better music BY FAR. i mean come on: blank & jones, signum, rank 1, perry oneil, thomas datt, etc--all back to back condensed sets. you KNOW they're gonna be good ones! the sight of trashed kids is major vibe killer for me too, but if you stay up in the crowd most of the time it probably won't be much of an issue. the worst of it is in the far corners and bleachers. drink lines ARE pretty ridiculous at bill graham though. GET HAMMERED FIRST. every time you go to buy a drink, you'll probably miss a good 15, maybe 20 min of music. |
