**BIO:**BIO: Alex Pearce has a passion for house music.
In New York throughout 2005, Alex has been one of the fastest rising local DJs; being booked out to play every weekend at some of NY’s hottest underground venues. His recent big room bookings include the main floors of Crobar, Spirit, and Avalon NY(headlining); Alex is a frequent guest DJ on Sunday nights at Le Souk and holds a monthly residency at Movida and at the Sullivan Room;Alex is also the winner of the 2005 Club Systems Nightstalker award. Over the past couple of years, Alex has gained a loyal following and respect in the music scene by regularly rocking out local favorite spots such as Delft, Serena and the Future Progression loft; Showcase events have included performances at Centrofly, Canal Room, Discoteque, the Roxy, Temple, BLVD, and the Lunaterium playing alongside world class talent such as Behrouz, Peace Division, Max Graham, Ferry Corsten, John Creamer and Stephane K, Charles Feelgood, The Scumfrog, Palaash, Mazi, Saharz Zangilevich, Demi (UK), and Danny "Buddha" Morales. More recently he’s focused his attention on the production studio, where he’s working on a number of new tracks due to be released in early 2006. Located Directly across the street from Bryant Park which is synonymous with
fashion week as well as free outdoor summer movies, is The Cellar Bar, housed in the
'subterranean' portion of The Bryant Park Hotel.
Go "underground" and get high with "large, potent martinis" at this "slick" cavern
opposite the Bryant park that exudes "retro" appeal via dramatic vaulted arched ceilings
and sex appeal thanks to "pretty" patrons. Friday patrons expect an eclectic mix of
dance music to kick of their weekends, So come join The Bourgeois Underground every
Friday starting at 10:00pm.

This sounds interesting... I'm always willing to check out local DJs, especially TA ones. Just wondering about a few things:
1) 18+ or 21+?
2) What style of EDM will be played for the majority of the night?
3) I like the Bryant Park Hotel, but have never been in the cellar bar... as such I'm wondering what kind of accomidations are contained within (i.e. is it just a lounge or can it be called a small club?). |

1) They will be checking ID's @ the door, so if it says your under 21 then im sorry....
2)Well this is a show case of 3 DJ 1st from 10-12:30 is Kenobi droppin A deep-tech-west-coast house sound 2nd will be Alex Pearce the Main headliner from 12:30 -2:30 doin a funky progressive tribal sound
3rd is DJ Blythe a new comer wjo's already playing Miami droppin a funky-soulful-tech-house sound
3) The Cellar bar is a beautiful venue with high vaulted cielings which reminds you of the paris metro. . . there is a dance floor area, and table service with beautiful staff and goth like metal bars behind the bar, where we will have go-go dancers that evening....it could be said to be a lounge, but can turn into a club in an instant depending on the DJ and the crowd.(small club)

Should be a good nite, Blythe is awesome, and haven't heard her since Bronzie's party @ Sully last month.
I see too much of Alex already, so I guess check out teh techno @ Sully b4 going 2 crobar... |
