Second opinion/thoughts

Long story short I need a second opinion on these ideas/choices of mine...

Basically I am a full time student keeping quite busy with school. I have both piano/guitar classes that I have been taking for years, and have been producing for the past 3 and just got my first release, and got into the realm of djing not so long ago..

Now I really would like some honest feedback from people who would take this into consideration...

I myself am a firm believer in doing things in moderation, a little bit of music, little bit of school, going to the gym blah blah blah... but with my first release I have seriously realized how much I really love and enjoy producing and composing my own music (not that I didn’t like it before, but it helped me acquire the fact that it really is heard by others and that I can truly make something of it)... it's something I really would love to see myself doing down the road..

Now this is what I’d like an opinion on...

Do you think its a good idea that I factor some minor things out of my life to create more time to elevate my true passion for 'music'... so that I have as much quality time to get somewhere with it as possible.

Lets say for instance 'discontinuing my 2 hour workouts that go 3 times a week (subtle example), and cutting it in half' so I can spare more quality time for something that might be of greater value to me down the line?

Hope you guys can see where I am getting at and I’m sure everyone has gone through with random decision such as mine, but feel free to express your opinion as I am open to any thoughts just to see what everyone else drives on.

yeah, as long as you have something to provide you with enough money to live off of (cause trance record sales surely won't).

which label is having your release btw?

is that really the answer? i mean are your days so absolutely full of productivity that you can't possibly do anything more with your music.

i'd say the first answer should be just becoming more organized.

Graduate college like BT did and then pursue your passion. If producing doesn't work out, you have your college experience to fall back on.

If you have to cut down on anything, I would reccomend cutting down on time spent in an online forum. :p

yea I’m living with parent's I mean I'm only a 20 year old student and I feel now is my time to be productive cause I know it's only going to get worse here on after... and time is definitely more valuable then anything, hence the reason I have brought this up

as for completing school, I am going on through with it and have a pretty firm family background of real estate which I am going to work about in a few years after I graduate uni...

Whatever you do make sure you finish school and make sure you get good grades. If at one point in your life realise that you don't want to produce no more you atleast have something else to do.

I don't know how many times you go to the gym, but you've always got to give your body some rest so your muscles develop. If you stop going to the gym whatever you have done has just been a waste of time, make sure you go atleast 3 or 4 times a week.

if your workout sessions are 2 hours long then you're most prolly overtraining...unless you're a bodybuilder or something your sessions shouldn't go for more than an hour at a time

sorry let me restate that, my work outs go for no more than an hour and 15 minutes....but the whole process of driving getting ready driving back is what I was referring to that drains the two hours

the thing is I have been working out now for about four years non stop going at least three times a week weight training at the gym, I hope by running maybe 2-3 times a week and going to the gym once will keep me cut up and in good shape…

but I don’t know if its worth reducing it to that extent… four years of effort is a hell of a lot of time and effort so I’m kind of iffy about how I should approach this...
