Tiesto only mixed the Forbidden Paradise series up through vol 7. After that it was various people. FP10 isn't bad, FP4 is probably my favorite of the early ones.
I agree that magik should never resurface. |

yeah, it was a bit sad when the Magik series stopped. but to bring it back now wouldn't make any sense at all.
and the way things seem to be going lately with him, chances are you'd see hundreds of threads about how this sucks and that sucks and all that . so basically, it's a good thing it's been put to rest at a good point; and it didn't go downhill for years.
Magik4 is still my favorite :) |

Some things you just can't top no matter how awesome you think you are. Hopefully he leaves the series dead and never thinks he's at that level again. I can still recall the first time I heard Magik 5(my fav).I still recall the first time I listend. It started off awesome, and then Neverending Melody by Fire & Ice floored me.
I still get chills when I listen to them too.
I wish I could say that about stuff lately. |

...and I agree Heaven Beyond is def. my favorite of the Magik series as well.:p
Although the rest are all also amazing, I own all of them except for #4 A New Adventure.
and thanks for the 411 on the FP series Tribu, if I ever come across a store that carries them I'll check out #4 first. |

You remember incorrectly then... the reasons listed above already covered why the Magik series ended.
Black Hole Recordings was formed in 1997 - the concept series' he was producing for Basic Beat on the Guardian Angel sub-label (both CD & vinyl) continued at pace under his new venture - but with new aliases and concept titles (including Magik).
It was therefore obviously not what caused him to stop making the Magik's 4.5 years later. |

I think at the time when the first ISOS came out, he was more focused on starting something new...
I don't think Tiesto should come back with Magik... I think he should start something new and go back to the trancers... but now hes moving to house... :sadgreen: |
