Let's see...the About of that talks about how it started in 1999...and how it's "Now 5 years later" and that it's moving to "Las Vegas" ... so to me, I'll take that site as being crazy old, crazy outdated, and from 2004. :p
And I'd say so from that awful web design. :) |

Weird. I'd guess that it just happens to coincide with it simply because of the fact that it's held in September. LPSF is it's own little entity, and that it wouldn't make sense to see them switch to a WMC-type event out of nowhere after already promoting just the parade with benefit events.
Although, the two could be working together to plan the events at the same time. |

Of course. It wouldn't surprise me at all, if the SMC is as big as they're hyping it to be, but I have my doubts about that. |

They could be trying to take advantage of the fact of Love Parade being here. After 2004's non-marketed success and last year's success with only a little marketing (89,000 people), I have little doubt that this year's Love Parade will be even more amazing with a whole lot more people. No, it's not as huge as the other love parades around the world because the DJs who have played at all of them says the vibe is very similar.
I'm interested to see what they can come up with....see if they can turn it into a crazy week of events like WMC w/ the LP being the highlight show. |

| well it was only a matter of time before someone tried to attach a related event on the heels or toes of love parade weekend in order to make more money and offer more partying. as long as it's well executed and doesn't bring lp's positive/successful image down, i'm all for it... only brings more credit and exposure to the west coast scene :D |
