I ended up missing this one, which is too bad because it sounds like it was a good party.
and yeah, I agree the sound in the big room is kinda off. The highs are really loud and the bass doesn't seem to have the kick it should. Almost gives you a headache. |

There were 3 rooms. The main room I'm guessing had okay sound...for a room of its size the sound system couldn't suffice for it. Its hard to find a sweet spot as the rooms accoustics had alot of the sound dispersing. The second room where Dunn played sounded alot better, although a little too lout (I might be getting to old..perhaps) but it was much cleaner than the main. One of the DnB djs was trying to blow the speakers a little around 3ish. The upstairs chill room probably had the best sound. Most of the DJs there were playing house/prog house so I stayed there and consequently ran into said raver chick.
In review..I'm glad I went. Nothing like getting into a party for free, getting laid, and going back into the party for the last hour and a half. Great sets by Dunn and SpaceCity Disco. |

Heh. Well I dunno how that place is on a regular night, and having not been to the venue (or a real rave since 01-02ish), I didn't know what to expect. I was upstairs in the chill room minding my own business, drinking some southern comfort an ex-marine buddy of mine hooked up and listening to some quality prog house. Hot chick sits down next to me, and since for a change it wasn't one of those (OMG are you Matthias!!??) chicks, I had no problem conversation wise. Apparently she hadn't been to too many events, sheltered upbringing etc etc, and as the convo lags on it gradually comes to my attention that she apparently took a pill. Besides myself, the promoters, security and other DJs Im beginning to wonder who DIDNT do any drugs that night. Well...due to the fact I had taken half a xanax (for its intended purpose) earlier and had the southern comfort in my system 1 thing leads to another.
I'm just glad I was prepared. Had the Expedition right outside, fold down leather seats, chillout ambient mix, tinted windows, a/c, and THANK GOD I had some spare magnum xls I bought in Austin. She was insatiable. And due to the goddamn bite and scratch marks I had to cancel a date today with a chick I was hoping to take to Tiesto..but hell..it was worth it.
In the end, its why I gave the party a very postive review with the people who couldn't make it out, and I told the promoter I'd gladly play at the next event. :)

LOL, there was a time where I agreed with this. I just treat em for what they are. If the girl comes across as a goldigger, ho, b*tch, etc...then that's what she is to me and gets treated accordingly.
But, I must say, there are the 5% out there who fit the exception. If it wasn't for women like Edie, Erica (Seekrets), among a few others I would probbaly fully agree with the aobve statement.
