lol, i posted a really long story in the Crackhead Alliance thread... it's about half-way down this page. i was in rare form that night/morning.
RJT's pros/cons thread in the WMC forum is a good summary of how our week went, and our opinions on the scene/music/clubs/people down there. |

Im just going to throw it out there that Im glad youre ok (ie. alive and well). We all thought that you were having a blast down there partying, so when Rob/Garth informed me that you had never shown up, a million things went through my head as to what happened.
So, did you have insurance on your laptop? Because Ive been meaning to insure mine but I think it sets it in stone that Im gonna do it soon... |

This is an e-mail I sent / what I c/p'd for Rob to read.
Haha, so here's the short version of what happened. I was in my hotel
on friday morning ready to leave and this person dressed in the hotel's
apparel asked if I'd like to have my bags taken down to the lobby while
i finished getting ready, so i was like sure whatever. turns out this
person didnt really work for the hotel and stole my . i guess this
has happened at multiple hotels in the area (i learned this after my
extensive session with the nashville pd). so I had no IDs, no money, no
phone, my computers gone, my clothes are gone (fortunately I was wearing
some). kind of ed really. so i couldnt rent a car, i couldnt get
on my flight (or any flight) and i couldnt get a hold of anyone because
i had no #s or no $$. so i'm like ready to kill someone at this point,
somehow i managed to avoid physical violence against anyone throughout
the duration of this ordeal. the people at my hotel were gracious
enough to allow me to use their hotel phone free of charge (the
y actually almost seemed like this was a problem for them) to contact
the PD, my banks, parents, etc ... so then i talk to this ing
jackass police officer for what seems like forever about what happened,
blah blah, dont give your bags to people i dont know .. i'm like 'thanks
officer i'll know better next time'. THEN he asks me where i was flying
to and why and he starts questioning me about drugs and because i
listen to 'techno music', I really felt that I had been detached from
reality at this point. So eventually end up sorting out all my stolen
(except for my laptop which I am SOL with) and have my parents get
me a room for the night, my dad drove down to nashville on saturday and
we drove back sat night / sunday. So summarizing my vacation to WMC:
stuck in nashville, out $300 cash, laptop, clothes, replaced
phone/ID/cards/MP3 player. Isn't that so win?!
Oh and anyone whose phone # I had, I need it again, because I lost them all. :( |
