Last night was so much fun! It was like Zee German Comedy Hour up there. Those guys were ing HILARIOUS! I'm sure the set would have been sick if the cops didn't come and break it up AFTER A HALF HOUR! That's probably why they turned it into a jukebox :p
Phillip kept saying, "Ziss is not how ve usually play. But joo know vis zee police coming ve chave to keep it down. Zo it vas basically a jukebox set. But vee had zo much fun!!"

| Ohhh man what a fun party! Got there around 10:45, had a few drinks....then Booka Shade gets on! These guys are sooo ing awesome live! It was amazing to see some of my favorite tracks being done live! After they lay it down, M.A.N.D.Y. gets on! They play like 2 tracks, and I leave to go outside for a smoke, and I see cop cars coming towards the venue! So they come to shut down the party, they linger for a bit, then leave. Soon as they left I go inside.....and the dudes from M.A.N.D.Y. are totally ing with the crowd, saying to be quiet the cops will come back! Then he plays this jazz song...I’m like wtf is happening here lol. While this is happening, one of the dudes just goes into his other split personality and starts doing some funny ass like you see in the pictures! They continue to play and do random funny until 2AM. If it wasn’t for the cops showing up.....this party wouldn’t have been the way it turned out.......and I’m actually glad it happened! Although I was ready to hear some ch00nage.....I would settle for a fun filled random night like this any day! Wish you came Clovy! |

Thanks for everyone coming out. This has been quite a week for me and the Gravy/Droid/Utensil crews. But most of all It was insane for me. I literally pulled this off in 2 weeks, and I went to Miami.
Sucky things I had to deal with.
- The worst agent ever... Christian @ Montage (not get physical's real agent, but was taking care fo the US tour)
- A budget that was totally unreasonble (but I did it anyway)
200 people w/ a party cost of $2300. 170 people actually paid $10. go head and do the math.
- Insane sound issues which inluded: trying to fit all that on a tiny stage, barely any power (had to tap from breakers in back), EU power supplys, Set up and load in at 6pm.
- 7 passenger van get physical, equipment pick up and drop off.
- The Agent booking all 5 guys in a one bedroom suite. (called me at 11pm to ask if some of them could crash at my house.) Ummm... sure.
- cops, and lame nieghbors
Goodthings that happend.
-The best vibe that could ever happen in a dive bar on a Wed nigh in LA...Ever...
For real people if you support us we can keep bringing in amazing talent. If none of you have been to any of our underground loft party you have been missing out. Take the vibe from wed nigh add about 300 more people a sweaty loft, cheaper drinks, bangin sound system, better lighting, going to 6am... Next up June 17th penthouse w/rooftop access in downtown LA. limited to 350 people
