| Hello i live in birmingham, AL but my job requires me to move to the east coast. It doesnt matter where just somewhere in cali. I do not know anything about this state though. So i do not know what city to choose. I decided to base this on my music. I love trance and techno and goin to clubs to hear it play. Im 22 years old and i wanna live life at the same time as keepin this job. What can you suggest for me? Any city in cali I can choose it. |

| well don't just base that on music. Remember the cost of living in CA compared to AL is night and day. I know, i used to live in NC for 2 years. the same apartment that you have in AL may run twice as high in CA. Insurance is going to be another thing. Being 22, you'll have no idea what expensive is. |

East coast to California's one helluva commute! Hopefully they're sending you to the west coast? I may be biased since I live here ;) , but Los Angeles is a great place for experiencing electronic dance music. Almost every major DJ comes through here, and we have a huge club called Spundae that's biggest I've seen in California (aside from special events at Stadiums and arenas). Also a huge number of TranceAddicts and the weather's good too! :) |

I think California is on the WESTCOAST. Will you be flying to & from work when you move to the EASTCOAST? I hope this job pays very well. |

| you'll get plenty of great trance parties in either sf or la, 90% of what is booked in one market is booked a day later in the other market. you should base your decision upon a visit and tour of both areas, there are other, larger determining factors as the bay area and los angeles are very different places. ie: weather/climate, traffic, cost of living, scenery, people, politics, etc... as a 22 year old, you might have more fun in la. depends on your personality and interests... |

being that i have lived in sacramento (grew up there) and am now living in huntington beach i can honestly say that i LOVE it down here. i am 22 also and i am having the time of my life living it up at the clubs and with friends. i have also been to SF a ton as living in sacramento its not far away really. my friends and i would go there a lot and spend most of the weekend there. its a very fun city. as lex said that you need to tour both. they both have very different lifestyles. one has a more hippie type lifestyle and the other is more of a glam lifestyle. lots of TAs here in southern cali though so no problem there. |

i made the move 4 years ago from atlanta georgia and i love the stark contrast from the southeast. i live in LA and love it but have been to san fransico and that is a very cool city as well. and don't forget about san diego, definitely a very chill town! come out, try to look around, so many things to do here in this great state and so close to vegas, mexico, skiing, surfing, hiking, beaches, tons to do and see. good luck.
LA does have, imo, the best club in the world, spundae at circus with the best vibe and great djs and so many TA djs that spin there as well |
