So What Do People Think Of Electro-house? (pg. 4)

Boring, uninspired.

i think it's funny how people actually think 'electro house' actually has anything to do with electro. at least it gives me confidence in the music industry, if not human kind in general.

I absolutely love it, I started listening to it last summer. It's a good contrast because before I was listening to mostly epic and melodic trance. I think the song that really turned me on to it was Acquaviva & Luetzenkirchen - Zombie. And then I heard the Eric Prydz rmx of Shapeshifters - Lola's theme and I was hooked.

It's stale, it's one-trick, it lacks substance, but it's still fun. I don't expect it to be some long-lasting trend, just a passing fad. And if it remains at it's current strength beyond this year, I'll be surprised, and probably a bit annoyed.

yea thats pretty much how I feel it's pure fun, not really to be taken seriously, but when done well its a lot of fun. Like Cirez D - Punch Drunk.

I take back what I said. You're right he has some electro house in his catalog:
Knockout
Punchdrunk
Diamond Girl

but those are the tracks I don't like with the exception of 'Lost Love'

These are more of my style from Cirez and not electro:
Dizco
Teaser
Control Freak
Deep Inside
RapidFire
I dont like the fact that its taken over the progressive sound and its DJs but its a tight genre in itself.

plz return to prog sash0r!!

Some is great, some isn't. True of all genres, though. The "it all sounds the same" argument could be used against acid, IMO. Same sound over and over and over. I like some acid, it's just not my favorite style.

Anyway, Cirez D is just another alias of Eric Prydz. The man's been on fire lately, some very impressive stuff has been released under his name(s).

digweed's still got the funky going on though. his sets have way more energy than sashas. Id like to see a sasha set as bangin as Diggers' last EM. then Id retract what I said about electro house.

You know...when Sasha feels like it he'll bang out a set full of sicky prog with only sprinkles of electro here and there. His Aria 2005 set was pretty good in that sense.

Digweed is sick, and has always been sick...period. Hes able to find the best music regardless of the genre he choses to play.
vinnie97
eh, I'm tired of everyone blowing smoke up BOTH their asses actually, as if their sheeit don't stink...it's so prevalent, it's sickening. Just like every other DJ, Digweed doesn't have impeccable taste, believe it or not...it has something to do with being human and everyone having a subjective opinion on what "best" really is. Period.
