| Hey everyone. I'm a filmmaker beginning a new screenplay in the Suspense/Thriller genre. I am planning on a major theme of the sotry revolving around the world of trance (ie. the music, lifestyle, clubs etc.). I have a few friends who are really into it and they have provided me with a great base of knowledge. I would love to hear from all of you on what you would love to see in a movie depicting Trance and the people who love it. Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated. My intention is to provide all with an amazing experience showing all those unfamiliar with the Trance community what it is all about, while giving those who already know it a great depiction of their passion and experience. What is it you love about Trance? How did you get into it? What is most important for people who don't know much about Trance to learn? Thanks alot. I hope to hear from as many of you as I can. |

| wow sounds great, but I would definitely expand the sound beyond the genre of trance, as the trance scene at this present time is at a very low point. |

where I've been it's died out... prog house and electro has taken over... even so trance music-wise is reaching towards the end of its life cycle and when there's not good trance anymore, the scene will die and ppl will evolve to other things, as most ppl tend do do anyway after a couple of years of trance, and with todays quality it only takes a few months to get bored of trance |

dude your waaay off.. recent years trance productions have been much better than the fluff and cheese played at the peak (98-01) maybe the stuff youve been hearing at your local clubs have been .. so naturally your gonna think all trance sucks now, or thats its nearing an end.. 2005 was a huge year for trance, and its tech/trance is becoming i little more dominant.. and 2006 is looking like an even better year for trance productions.
your right in the sence that trance is not as popular as it used to be.. but you can't just say that trance as a whole is dying because its not.
If you want to look at it from a popularity perspective, just take a look at the names up top of the dj list.. |

ok your going to need alot of crack heads, and transvestites... god knows i see them all the time in clubs. and if its being filmed in toronto canada, alot of cracked out 50 yr old asians, rolling with their kids.....
then you need the odd nostalgic cuddle puddle,..... |

:haha:
you cannot be serious
And no I don't think trance is cuz of what I've heard in nearby clubs. It's because everything that's released these days is formulated generic . Now there is the inevitable occasional good track, but the truth is trance is dying (quality wise) and Dj's are moving on to other sounds. I would dig up all the 100's of threads here who have argued about this, but i doubt that would do any good |

PLEASE make sure you don't just portray the club/rave aspect of trance. Though thats a big part, the regular sit-at-home mp3-stealing fan is the normal trance fan nowadays. If you could somehow portray that people dont just listen to trance/prog./house in clubs but also at home/ in their cars, at work, etc. that would be greatly appreciated.
also, make sure to mention that if you have a club scene, dont use tiestor or armin, or pvd, use arcadia's sister, shes fine. :thepirate |
