Review: Lee Burridge @ Bed

Got there early since we didnt have tix and got in no problem. You know you are in Miami when $30 cover is cheap! Pretty nice venue. Filled up by about 1130 or so. Not exactly sure who was warming up but they had the volume way low. Burridge came at maybe 1 (??) and built his set up steadily. Great crowd who were all Burridge fans made it a fantastic night. People going nutty all over the room.
I have always liked Burridge but man he took it to another level this weekend. For the first couple days in Miami, I heard good music but nothing too impressive. I wasnt sure if I had become more snobby or the DJs just werent delivering. Until Saturday...Lee's set at Bed was jaw dropping. So unique, fresh, and banging. Played Energy Flash which went off. I wish I could ID more of the tracks he was playing. The last hour or two especially. Genre-bending, big bassline insanity. Saw him at Space as well and only recognized a couple tracks from BED. It was a pretty different set (also great). |

| Hell ya, I was there i thought the same thing he,s awesome BUT club sucked though the sound was not loud enuff.Although he was dominant PLAYING VERY DARK TRACKS.I almost stayed to see him at Space on Tues but I was way, way, to tired.I got a set from him from a week before the confrence and it has a lot of tracks that he dropped that night. Its somewhere at my house I find it soon... |

Ya, Burridge is twisted, very good house music that makes your mind go, "Whaaaa Tuh!?!?" but BED is trash doo-doo. :toocool: |
