I agree but closing clubs down is purely politcal unless the clubs owners are involved. All that should have happened is that the people who sold the drugs should have been popped. But that wouldn't have made news and assured them of future budget increases. |

Correction: GIANT was no longer at CIRCUS when the raid occurred. There were also some people that knew it was going to happen and tried to warn others. Yeah, I was there standing by the gate as you walk out the club. It was crazy seeing an army of cops & undercovers walk in around 11:30 or so.
That night was a TOTAL BUZZ KILL for everyone, even if they weren't buzzing. Some of the cops were even harrassing people dancing with glowsticks asking them if they were on something. After the cops left, it was hard trying to get back into the groove of things and many clubbers decided to leave very early.
The IDs have nothing to do with the raid or SPUNDAE. CIRCUS has always been strick on IDs and they continue to do so to protect themselves.
The club never got shut down but their liquor license was suspended for about 2 weeks. |
