I have begun to use automation much more creatively. Also, many helpful advices regarding sound quality given by you all have improved my aural balance a little more.
Please let me know what you think. Give me your honest criticisms.
Thank you in advance |

Something I noticed right off the bat was that bass drum was subtracting sound from the other tracks. Maybe raise the frequency of the bass drum just a hair and/or add some compression to it. Are you possibly using Microtonic for the drums? That bass drum sample sounds familiar. Just curious.
Other than that, you had some really good parts in here. I liked it. Good job! The opening bass was good!

| To me it sounds way too abstract for my liking |

link has been updated with changes
(levels smoothed more. bass wave shaped. lead strengthened to be somewhat less abstract.) |

The whole thing has been smoothed and updated so as to bleat compression but not add peaks and valleys apart from the dynamics.
The kick is actually a good ol' 909 with eq and a percXpander wave shaper. :happy2: |

Review
Intro - bass sounds ok, kick is punchy but still sounds a bit flat. the intro could have a bit more into it imo. more percussion work is needed too and more synth elements to bring in the tune.
Breakdown - stops dead... maybe add some effects n stuff. perhaps also add a main riff or lead?
Outro/Other - like the whirly squares hehe, cool, i like the bass notes, emotional...
Conclusion/Other - more elements, and work but arite for early production stages, keep it up :) |

It has a very abstract sound to it, this will turn off a lot of people. There is something about it that makes it sound old skool. If you where goin for that old sound, you go it.
I like it. Its short, so you don't need to make it interesting for super long, I think the repeating themes are okay for that reason. |
