Linksys had a rebate where you got that router and a network adapter (USB or PCMCIA) for 40 bucks or so. Of course, I never got mine....

It runs with an open source firmware so there are a lot of independent projects to expand it's basic router capabilities making it as good as products that are 10 times more expensive.

I'm using Speedtouch 585 and loving it. The best router I've had, by far!

hey y'all i just got the linksys and set it up to my computer. how do i set up the other comp to connect wireless?

kid nyce
i dont understand how people say Linksys is crap - Linksys has been bought by Cisco, should that even mean anything router wise???

Cisco is basically the number 1..actually nevermind, it's CISCO for the sake of god, they even have certification exams not to mention the specifics that jdizzle said, open source firmware for contracted independant code writers, i've seen some indepth routing and switching from converted cable routers.

huge fan of the pix(ie) firewall and arrowpoint =)
