Okay.. I saved my pennies and bought the real Gucci bag. I bought it from the Gucci store in Miami and it brings me great joy.
It did cost an arm and a leg but it is worth it.. :)
Lisa - it is versatile. I can wear it around my waist or sling it over my shoulder. It works both ways.. and believe me after 52 hours of dancing in Miami, it has passed the test.
I did also find a nice substitute (to use while saving my pennies) that swings over your shoulder and you wear it like a back pack.. I bought it at a random vendor for $20. Actually, Miss MagikB still has it. I think it did well by her in Amsterdam. |

The reals you can get at any Gucci store down here (there are SEVERAL), Macy's, Bloomingdales, I think Saks Fifth Ave, even tho I have never looked there for it... Or you can get it at the Gucci outlet for less than the usual $200....
China town: there is a 50/50 shot its real: bc half the vendors make the bags, and the other half STEAL the real ones....Usually like $40 there :)
imo I love my bag but its just as worth it to get a Guess? bag or something cheaper.... |

Hmmm yea I don't care about the name brand, not to mention I would be too scared of it getting wrecked if I took it to the bar.
Might I be able to ask you a tiny favour? If I can't find anything here, would you be able to see if you can pick up a cheap one there? Like the same one that you have...and that everyone is advertising. That was it Gucci one that She_Fitz was raving about. Ordinarily I'd like to try it on but if she says you can sling it or waist it...and you can find a black one. I may see if you can pick one up and I can send you some money. Let me know?
I'm gonna look at the mall tomorrow though. |
