why are some foods so overpriced?
i just ordered some jalepeno poppers from allstar wings (best place in the gta for wings) and they are so damn expensive. the average place sells them for about a dollar each! two bites and one is gone!
another item that i find to be *extremely* overpriced are salads. any type of salad. come on, its just ing lettuce! you can buy a head of lettuce for less than a dollar and make a few salads with it. |

add the money you have to pay le saladier...they know if you want it you will pay. |

thanks, mr obvious.
but why is the markup on those items so much higher than, say, a steak?
markup for a steak is almost never more than 100%. but the markup on a salad is like 800%. |

thats probably because the drugs go through so many hands until they actually get into yours.
i dont complain about the prices that i pay though. |

you dont have to prep a steak....age, cut and thats it.
a restaurant will make more $$$ on salad because it is simply ordered more.Even at steak houses... |

a saldier is a term used in english as well to describe a sald chef.
The ritzier the restaurant the more likely they will have one. There is more to salad then just ceasar and house. |
