been searching on google and can't find my answer. i'm trying to figure out how my settings use to be and how they got changed
originally when i would go to a website that was a direct mp3 link, like.... www..net/direct.mp3 (example) it would prompt a download pop up
now instead, quicktime plays the file in the browser and i can't save it to disk. how can i change this function? THXXXX |

For Firefox, cuz IE blows chunks
Tools
Options
Downloads
View and edit Actions
click MP3
click Edit Action
check Save on my computer
or you can right click and "save link as..." |

| maybe in the preferences under Downloads, you will see a section called Download Actions, click view & edit actions. See if that works. |

Maybe this applies to audio as well as movies:

Or disable the Quicktime plugin in IE whenever you download an mp3.
Failing that, check your file type associations. |
