Good for you. If you're happy to jump on the first label that shows any interest then be my quest, that wasn't my point. It seems like lately people think about getting signed before they even make anything. Or they think of a label they want to appeal to first and then pick their style accordingly. |

And I think everyone needs to be honest with themselves. Í dont think there is someone who doesnt wants his tunes to get released, cause getting your tunes released kind of means that your production skills are good. :) |

Or a way of promoting yourself and the tracks you have scheduled every minute you can.
Self promotion don't hurt.

Naa, for that you do threads telling people one of ur tracks is out so they can buy it or with chain mails with friends, seriously, how many potential customers do you expect will get into a thread with a bunch of producers selling their tracks? I consider to do a thread announcing one of your tracks is out is a good idea, I have got some sales from threads like that, but a thread with a lot of producers posting their released tracks sounds more like a popularity contest than self promotion.

on clubcharts (a dutch EDM community) there is also a "members releases" topic, with a nice list of every member in the first post with all their releases, links to discogs and links to all the labels.....everyone congratulates each other when they post a new release, no competetion, no hate or what so ever....
first thing what happens here when such a topic is posted is flaming, jaelous childish people who react lame and retarded....bleh |
