Freaky dreams ... :O

I recently had a freaky dream that I'm still paranoid from... it just made such an impression on me that for once I'm convinced it has to mean *something* big! Just wondering if anyone else has had a dream they really thought was significant or that scared them or that came true in some way? :p So if you have some time to kill, read my long-ass dream!

Well, first of all, this was while I was taking a nap and you know dreams occur only in light sleep so I tend to almost always have a small dream when I take a nap. So this was the dream:
I dreamt that I won a trip to Poland during the summer and I was walking along a street in Poland trying to find one of the "beach houses" that I was supposed to stay in. It looked like Long Island's shore. I couldn't find any of the 5 or 10 houses I had on my sheet so I asked a woman walking towards me. She turned out to speak Russian and told me where the houses were, but I still couldn't find them. I hung my bag on the doorknob of some random house and walked away for some reason. I don't remember what I did next, I think I just searched for the houses some more, but I remember feeling horror in the dream a few minutes later that I left my bag unattended on a doorknob and I ran back, relieved to find it was still there.
Suddenly 3 or 4 of my friends from NYU appeared. We walked by a mountain that looked a lot like Okemo or Mountain Creek, fresh snow and everything, and I mentioned to my friend Jill that part of my winning package was snowboarding. I remember she was envious of me that I got to do it, and I knew it was because of money, that she couldn't afford to rent skis with me. I was about to offer to pay for her but reconsidered.
We walked up to a building and went inside. My friend Drew started going up a staircase and got sucked up, like by magic. We ran upstairs to look and saw some freaky things and got scared. The next part is really strange. Two or three of us, minus Drew, were put in a room downstairs where strange things proceeded to happen. There were magicians, or actors, or something, who personally freaked us out for what seemed like an hour. For example, I turned around at one point and saw someone with her back turned to me wearing the same jacket as me, even though my jacket in the dream was very strange, colorful, and seemingly rare.
We began to feel that something was wrong with Drew and wanted him back. We ran back and found that he was standing, shaken and scared, at the bottom of the stairs before. We hugged him and said we were sorry. It was clear something very bad had happened to him while he was up there.
We needed to get down from the building because we were apparently almost on the roof. My friend Meghna and Drew went down a firepole and landed on the ground safely. I didn't want to slide down the firepole because I realized I was wearing a dress with no underwear. :wtf: I ran down a staircase on the wrong side, and I knew that because there were 2 or 3 people walking up the staircase who made comments about how I was running down the wrong side. I kept running down and then found no more stairs to get down. I became desperate to rejoin my friends and asked a man who was working how to get down. He gave me strange directions and I thought he was lying to me. I started crying. I couldn't reach any of my friends, because even though I had two cell phones somehow, no one was calling me and nobody picked up when I called. I woke up around then.
Also, my boyfriend had a dream a few nights ago that I was shaving my head.
WEIRD STUFF!! I am freaked out... :nervous: :nervous:

I am about to start a research project on electoral participation in Poland :p |

Woah. That is a wierd dream. Do you make anything of it?
Well I've got one for you.
A friend and I were IN the same dream. Meaning that the next morning, after the dream I called him and he was able to tell me things that I did in the dream that he couldn't have known otherwise. As well I could tell him things that he did in the dream that I couldn't have known otherwise.
This happened when I was about 15 years old. The dream was that me and a friend of mine were exploring the center of the earth, lava and all. We each had our dream from first person perspective so I could see him in my dream and he could see me in his dream. And yeah... we were able to describe to each other exactly what went on. It was weird b/c it was my best friend since preeschool so I've had tons of dreams in which he was a character, but for some reason after waking up from that dream something told me to call and ask him if he was really there. *shrugs* Weird but true. :) |

I had a dream this morning while I was dozing off after my alarm... I was in a restaurant with Meghna and Jill and we were eating with a professor of ours (it wasn't real, I made this man up). It was really normal, we were just talking, then he said he had never been kissed in his life. I started coughing as if in shock and said "WHAT? You've never been kissed??" He said "yea" I said "Wait what? You've really never been kissed??" He said "yes" Then I said "You've never been kissed??" incredulously again and Jill turned to me and said "Alisa!" to make me shut up cause I was being rude... :conf: |

damnn thats crazy!! never heard of that b4 :eek:, which kinda reminded me thou my dad says he has like a 6 sense... and this has happened many times where he would know that a certain person would call and most of the time he was right, or he would say things would happen and then it did, kinda freaked me out a bit dunno if its relevant to wat u guys r talkin about but it just reminded me of that. |

| ok guys...time to wake up (absolutely no pun intended)...dreams are such personal reflections of sub conscious that it's almost impossible for others (especially strangers from a messageboard) to decipher them...now im not saying "keep them to yourself," im saying that it's impossible to look for meaning with the help of others...dreams are supposed to be weird, so the stories on this thread do not surprise me at all... |

I had this one dream i was in some kind of futuristic cafeteria/airport similar to the scene from the movie "The Island". I was eating spaghetti with Biance (from destiny's child), Hugo from "Lost", and Gary Coleman among other people that i cant remember.. At the time i was dreaming , like most dreams i dont really realize inside the dream that im dreaming in other words i have not mastered the Lucid Dream skills only randomly do i get a lucid dream (in your own dream you realize you are dreaming and have complete control over what happens). Anyhow, after we ate i started running around panicing asking questions like what state are we in ? where are we ? People i asked would answer me with really obnoxious answers like Ugybadabah, bugydugyland, and weird stuff kind of like hte Malkovich scenes when malkovich went into his own portal and everyone was saying nothing bu malkovich malkovich ? Except the character in my dream were speaking normally then when i woudl ask them what state we are in there mouths became blurry and they would say obnoxious answers and in turn made me panic inside the dream trying to figure out where the hell i was. This dream was so vivid, the next day i was thinking about it all day.
Then i came to the realization and realized what the dream meant. The dream was a sign that i am becoming aware of myself dreaming. I ask all the people what state we are in because i have a feeling of confusion as if im somewherelse. People answer me with weird answers because I am in the dreamworld, so there is no such state or country that we are in but in my brain. I think by me asking where we were, I had a feeling i was in a dream and my brain was telling me yes you are in a dream by having the characters blurt out obnoxious answers.. |

heh awesome, certainly keep that in mind :) Yeah I knew you were Polish, I'm Russian. I'm taking a grad class on political participation in Europe right now (I'm actually an undergrad though)

right on Jayme... I actually thought of a lot of things this dream could mean.. it just shook me up so much I felt the need to write about it somewhere..
