It's just the classic French vs. English thing, I suppose.
Them putting down Sonic and having never even been there was absolutely ridiculous, I'll give you that.
But for the most part it seems it's Toronto that has the ego...Thinking you guys are the king in Canada all the time, CBC showing a Leafs game every Saturday night when the Leafs SUCK, etc. |

There are enough Leafs fans who still watch every game because they bleed white and blue... Fanatics... Meaning, there's enough market for Leafs game to be shown every week.

ok most of Torontonians check out MTL, compare, appreciate and disaprove based on an actual comparison.
MTLers just slam without knowledge (in 98% of the cases)
dont bring in the leafs and CBC cos CBC is based out of toronto so duh...
watch the francais version of CBC maybe they have some (whatever the MTL team is) games on. |

There has always been a war going on between Toronto and Montreal.. when in fact, instead of fighting, we should be joining forces and making fun of those Vancouver Bastards!

We don't think we're King . The only reason why we would think that is because Toronto has by far the largest population in Canada, there's more business here and so you hear about what's going on here a lot more. There's also probably more things to do here because there has to be in order to accomodate the high population of ppl here. Truth is, most Torontonians think Montreal as a city is great, but would we live there? Some would, I wouldn't just because I'm too comfortable here and there's a lot of things I like more about Toronto then Montreal.
Now as far as the CBC thing with the Leafs, you have to remember T.V. stations go by ratings and the Leafs probably generate a higher rating then the Habs. If the Leafs were dead last still everyone would still watch and goes to the game... if the Habs were in that situation, a lot less ppl would watch and they certainly wouldn't still pack it in. |
