Yeah our setups are pretty similar, even the heatsink ;). As for fan i upgraded all the fans on my case. as-well as undervolting them. I use acoustifan noiseless fans(though they arent really noiseless). Along with silicon gel gaskets to prevent any noise from traveling to the case. But in the end the power supply makes up all the noise... PC Power and cooling is releasing a 710wat silent power supply I may try to acquire . |
I found i had to replace the screws on the front 120mm fan with silicon anti vibration pads and super glue them to the front bracket becuase the vibration was too much.
Anyway sounds like your pretty hardcore about your computer equipment. What sort of games do you play?
Also that Power supply sounds crazy, 710Watt sounds like a overkill unless your going quad SLi, but still you could prolly power your house on that bad boy! |

Can I come to your house and play? :p
I really wanna try this game (even though my guitar skills are laughable). Is it as fun as they say? |

Any and all TA's are welcome at my home, always! :)
As for the fun factor? It cranks the quality up to 11. While many might state that Guitar Freaks has been out for much longer and/or is better, it is undeniable that Harmonix has perfected on the guitar sim formula and is on its way to producing a quality sequel or two. Genre spinoffs being separate, of course. Not to mention, the controller is one of the best peripherals I've ever played with. While there are a few things that can be improved with it, the guitar is solid in all aspects.
So yeah. It's totally worth it. |

Dual Priming Opty 170, as you can see the PWMIC gets a little on the warm side. I've then since put a 92mm fan above it to cool that area down. Now temps don't exceed 50C. (System was still completely stable for 8hr run of dual Prime, w00t!)

And here's the chassis opened, I was working on better cable management for better system temps. It came out alright, but with this case and my limited wiring skills I get this:

Hey small sheep. Props to your choice on the CM Stacker. That's a wonderful case and I've been playin' with the idea of moving to a full tower. How do you like it? And how easy is cable management in it? :)
Forgive my Prime95/CPU-Z Snapshot. When I saved the image I didn't realize I had 2 CPU-Z's open showing the first page. Here's another image showing my memory page as well, but it's earlier in the Prime Run.
