I drank a 1/5th of jim beam and then smoked a jay and recorded this. I had alot of fun. I spent most of the time jumping up and down. The EQing needs work I know. But this is the first CDJ set I have decided to post...considering I started mixing in December.
So for 5 months of mixing...what do you guys think? :p
Oh yeah tracklist:
1. Dark Vibrations - Cowboy On Leather
2. Partial Arts, Ewan Pearson - Cruising
3. Jeff Bennett - Da Bus
4. Niekisch, Hermann - Taiga Disco
5. Hugg & Pepp - Hund
6. Silver City - Another Dimension (Spirit Catcher Remix)
7. Keri Chandler - Bar A Thym (Tom Middleton Cosmos Mix)
8. 16 Bit Lolitas - Sedna
9. Vector 13 - Rise
10.Subway - Journey
11.Holmes ft. Dragon Fly - Blue Skies (Martinez Cosmic Rework)

It’s about time I hear a progressive set that doesn’t feature a bunch of random bleeps and beeps. Also correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe some call it electro house or tech house?
To be honest I enjoyed this set as a one time sort of deal but not something I would listen to over and over again mainly because of a tastes issue. On the technical side of things for a guy that’s been using decks for a few months now you’re really a quick learner. Let’s just say great job with the decks. As you may or may not know I’m a big advocate for build and when that is sacrificed halfway throughout the set for less energetic sounding tunes that’s when the entire vibe of the mix goes down south. To be specific, it was right when the Vector 13 track took over. I was hoping you’d pick things up again after that track, but instead you continued to build down and that, for me, was your main flaw.
Other than that, be happy you didn’t trainwreck and continue to keep it real because what I consider tolerable as a set may render remarkable for others so take my reviews with a grain of salt. That doesn’t mean I wrote that for nothing because even though I’m a man whose flavor in music differ from yours all I ask is that you consider the technical parts of my review minus the tastes.
P.S. – I just read this thread over and realized that you built down on purpose, but I didn’t want this review to go to waste. I am FTL:( |

You really should have taken advantage of the break at 40 minutes. Even though I don't like this song I felt it should gone more like this.
Still listening to this so proper review to come later, therefore don't quote me yet! |
this post is.....it's something...something not positive. Maybe you should...remove it some how.... |

lol that sounds sick! But I didn't feel like playing aftermath...I kept this mix on the chill side, like an opening set. |
