We had a Tornado in Tacoma, WA once... it was ing ed up, it was like an F0 almost an F1 so it was tiny tiny tiny... but it was like "WOW OK... THATS A FUNNEL CLOUD?!"

Put a 2x4 through a persons truck and garage door, ripped some shingles off a roof and threw a cat across a block... :nervous:

No state in the US is immune to tornado's. Not even Hawai'i.

I'm about 80 miles east of Nashville, and so far we've missed the action. I think it will be dark by the time we get hammered. Which sucks, because you can't see what the fark is coming at you. Not that it really matters much, but something tells me that it might be helpful to see what may be your death coming at you. Moral of the story: no pictures, and I need a basement.

Watch the sky. When there is ambient light from lightning.. scan the sky. But dont get fooled by scud.

About 3 weeks ago we got hammered by a category 5 cyclone which destroyed about a dozen townships right next to where I live. We also got flooded by monsoonal rain caused by a second offshore category 4 cyclone.

Is that extreme enough?

one of my friends was stationed @ Keelser, down in Biloxi when katrina hit [ironically enough, he was there for weather tech-schooling - and they DIDN'T evacuate out of there].

said it was unbelievable the amount of damage.

i saw pictures of it. reminded me a LOT of Andrew back in '92
