yes i would love to go... but i gotta go to prom with tiff.... so if ican get my way out of that and show up to dallas in a tux...then this idea might fly....
damn ... i dont think there are 2 many lines in getting you way outta prom at my age... |

After reading through the Q & A, you will see why we called upon such a knowledgeable EDM fan to take on this job. They touch upon everything from Wet Grooves to Tri-State to Anjunabeats to Fan questions.

I’m here with Jono Grant 1/3 of trance super group from the UK, Above & Beyond. Jono, thank you for taking the time out to speak to me today.
Tri-State questions
1. Congratulations on your six nominations at the International Dance Music Awards. And BIG congratulations on Air for Life winning Best Underground Dance Track! How does it feel to have accomplished best underground dance track of 2005?
Thank you! We’re very happy with the response because it’s directly because of the fans and not so much the industry.
2. After winning Best Trance Compilation of 2005 for Anjunabeats Vol 3, do you feel Tri-State will achieve such status?
We hope so! But it’s a much different album in that it’s an artist album and not the peak hour trance that we create as Above & Beyond.
3. Are you surprised at the success of how Tri-State has sold thus far?
We really are. We wanted to create something a little different from what we do as Above & Beyond and to have the people respond to it so quickly in a positive light is really exciting.
4. Were you surprised at the immediate popularity of your first ever pod cast for Tri-State?
Absolutely. We’re all Apple geeks with our Ipods and Macs so we know and love Apple and felt it was a natural medium to use.
5. Is it true that Alone Tonight took three years to create? Why do you think it took so long to finish it?
That’s a funny question really. Rich came and did the vocals over the track, but Tony originally had done the vocals. It was a track we had been playing with for awhile. That’s the thing, we have a lot of things going and it’s quite nice to go back and finish something when someone comes along that we really feel was the missing element in the track.
6. How does it feel to be returning the United States for a more extensive tour?
It’s fantastic really. We always love to play in new places and reach new people.
7. Is this your first trip to Texas? Dallas?
Yes it is. We’ll hopefully get a chance to take in some of the culture depending on our schedule.
8. What are your thoughts on the State of Texas in general?
I don’t know much about the state really. Really looking forward to coming there and seeing it for myself.
9. You’ll be debuting in Dallas at the Lizard Lounge on May 12th. What can we expect to hear from you?
Obviously some tracks off of Tri-State and other Anjunabeats classics.
10. Outside of the tracks from the new Tri-State album, can we expect any surprise secret weapons?
We have a couple of remixes lined up for Can’t Sleep and Stealing Time that you might get to hear.
11. Will you have your Virus with you in Dallas?
No, we really don’t get to take any studio gear when we play out generally.
12. I understand that you mainly DJ as a duo and save the trio mixes for the bigger events. How would you describe your style when you DJ vs Tony and Paavo?
Progressive through to trance really. Anjunabeats as a company, we all tend to like similar things. It’s difficult to say really! We cover similar ground. We like DJing together because we kind of have a similar mindset.

maaan i really wanna go... but those prom excuses didnt work!!! she doesnt have a sister... i asked her that i meant to take out her ferret but... that oene almost worked but it DIDINT !!!
i wanna road trip with santos emerson and mario again those are some of the coolest brothas ive ever met !!!! and they took me to my first out of city edm experiance with sander k and it was so worth it !! |
