can some1 please clear this up;
- on what (sub)label (of GU) will this be released?
- why isnt there any announcement on GU's site?
- whats the source of the release info?

and about GU and discogs; discogs is only listed till balance 006, while balance 009 is (almost) released. which means there shoudl be a #007 & #008 too ... of course these dont have to be necessarily be listed on discogs, but its rather strange there not listed on discogs. it seems that the GU-releases are kinda not updated on discogs anymore ... :s

am i right, or am i missing something here???:eyes: :conf:

First, EQ/EQ Grey, the label on what the Balance series has come out, has nothing to do with GU. They are different labels.

No idea why the new release isn't mentioned on GU's site or on what (sub)label it's actually coming out but it's listed on several online stores to be released on May 15th.. like on play.com for £13.99 delivered (the 4cd version). I've seen catalog number GUXCDX mentioned relating to the 4CD and GUXCD to the 3CD but not sure if those are the actual ones.

I'm even more looking forward to the 2nd volume of the Singles Box 6xCD set which is scheduled to come out on GU Music (GUMUBX002CD) 24th this month. In 2 weeks and i haven't even seen the list of singles on it yet!

jesteraver
for sure getting this!
keithos27
looks good on my monitor, but am a bit skeptical regarding the # of tracks... needless to say i'll probably still wind up picking up the limited edition version... lol
Philby
so is this sort of like global underground: the classics kinda thing?
torontotrance
Its ing great, including Pascal FEOS - I can feel that...and so many other underrated classics. Call it a cash in attempt but owning 1, 3-28 and all the nubreeds, I'll add it to my collection. It does not quite grab the entire feel of GU with Rise In? but still it pwns.

any direct link to that site? browsed it, but wasnt able to find it (quickly)

every1 agrees this is def worth to grab? and that its a must-have, or will become 1 in the (near) future?
Futureshock
Interesting tracklist, you don't get many mix CDs with tracks from such a large timeframe, esp. on GU, some pretty old stuff on there mixed with newer releases.

Yeah i'll say it's worth the grab.. depending they haven't ruined the tracks by stuffing too many of them on one cd.

Anyways, here's a link for the 4CD edition (£13.99 delivered) on play.com CLICKY!
and here's the singles box vol 2 (£13.99 delivered) CLICKY!

Not much details of either one there yet but play.com has been a trustworthy, fast and rather cheap place to buy stuff.
Cobalt
Nice track selection, but it certainly seems like one of those lazy retrospective "classic" compilation cash-ins.
