| my ID is expired and has a huge scratch on the front of it. Never really have to many problems with it. |

I don't see how it is a problem as expiration has nothing to do with your birthdate on the card.
They just need the birth date as a proof of your age and they don't need the card to be valid.
Because I don't want to lose my REAL license, I always tote around my expired license instead when I go out and need to show ID.
It only needs to NOT be expired when you get pulled over by the coppa's! |

only prolbem occurs if that ISNT ur license...lol
many people use friends' old expired licenses so if a bouncer suspects, ur in trouble (if its not urs i assume) |

Actually, it's not a valid piece of identification if it's expired. Sure, it shows your age, but it has a shade of similarity to using an expired passport at the border.
Both are pieces of identification that must not be expired to serve their purpose, and if you want to chance your night of partying on that, feel free :thepirate |

Might depend on how smart the bouncer is.. but NO. They usually WONT accept an expired ID.
They wouldnt allow my friend in with an expired ID for the reason that it could be faked and not be the right person.

I guess in the end YES.. it does depend on the bouncer, it alwasy does.
I'm also talking about MY expired license, not someone else's. I wouldn't risk trying to get in somewhere with someone else's expired license, let alone someone else's VALID license.
The photo on my expired ID also LOOKS like me, so expired or not that's probably why I haven't been given about this. I think it is more important that the picture on the id matches the person holding it and the birth date being valid.
As for having a valid passport crossing the border, I THINK trying to get into another country is a LEETLE bit more different from trying to get into a club.
Anyways.. I'm an old hag so that's prolly why I don't get as much crap compared to young'uns! |
