Web Exclusive: Paul Woolford 'Modernist EP #1' available now!
NRK welcomes one of the UK’s finest talents to the label for a three part series of deep and experimental dance tracks. Paul Woolford is bang on the money right now, and ‘Modernist’ EP #1 shows why. Woolford is currently being championed as the best producer in his genre right now from the likes of Pete Tong, Francois Kevorkian, Mr C et al. with his current ‘Erotic Discourse’ being hailed as one of those tracks that has captured the imagination of both house and techno DJs alike.
And so onto ‘Modernist #1’, and whilst Woolford nods to the past on title track “313”, the arrangement and structure of the infectious cut is as modern as electronic dance gets right now. On ‘Part One’, warm and lush pads herald an epic 11 minute production that twists and turns, all the while keeping the solid groove flowing. ‘Part Two’ on the flip presents a rawer and heavier take, the driving cowbell rhythm, snaking synth line and sub bass will cause much devastation.

313 originally was peace division - club therapy(Paul woolford 313 mix). NRK liked the track so much that they decided to take out the peace division vocals and release it as paul woolford - 313. Paul will have 3 upcoming releases on NRK set for April, May, and June.
