Hi fellow Texas TAs. I don't post very often, mostly cuz I'm busy and I don't know any TXTAs. But it would be cool to see some of you guys at the events. Anyways, has Nick Warren even spun here? If not, how the heck do we get him down here. The DJ I'm really interested in seeing, but haven't eighter because I haven't heard of them ever coming down here, or came down before I liked em:

Nick Warren
Sasha
M.I.K.E
Flutlich

So that's my 2 cents for rightnow. :D

I forgot to mention Way Out West, Don't Look Now (Mix CD) was brilliant!

i don't think so i want to see nick too and hear his progressive sh*t

well, I've seen him spin in Houston, so I'd say yes, Nick Warren has played in Texas. It was back in 2004 when he came with Jody Wisternoff and did the WOW show. I know he's been here on his own too, and it's been way too long since the last time. Nick is amazing, loads better than Tiesticles or Ferry Corsten or so many other talentless DJ's that people drool over.

Nick has played in Texas a couple times.. Both at Hyperia in Houston.

He makes Ferry sound like a fairy and you can't compare him to Tiesto or Oakenfold, b/c Nick plays proper music.

Jody is an excellent dj as well'

Sean Carnahan's booked him quite a bit in Houston. Sasha in 2004. It 's nearly been 2 years since I've seen Way Out West and wouldn't mind seeing them back in town again.

At rich's they had an amazing 3 part performance. 1st was a progressive breaks DJ set, a live performance with a female vocalist I can't recall, and ended it with a progressive house/trance dj set. As far as 2004 events at 2401/Rich's went, that was probably my favorite next to Digweed in Jan and Sasha later on that year.

2004 had a TON of talent come through Houston.

Agreed, it's sad how the quality of certain DJs like Ferry, Tiesto and Armin has dropped dramatically, considering these guys got me into Trance/EMD in the first place, back when they were amazing. Their recent sets tend to just bore the crap out of me and I'm tired of being disappointed by these guys. Armin and Ferry still spin some good sets every now and then though. I hate cheesy vocal tracks. In my opinon, vocal are usually best when they serve more as an instrument than forced lyrics (not that some vocal tracks aren't good). Which is why I'm glad I discovered Nick Warren & M.I.K.E. I probably would have lost interest in Trance/EDM if it weren't for these guys. Thanks for the promt, well thought out responses guys. It's good to see the COR rambling and immaturity is ususally limited to the COR. Another DJ/Producer I didn't mention, Yves Derueyter. I got one of his recent live sets from DJMixes2K. Pretty solid set with tracks I'd never heard before (except I think a remix of one of his older tracks). Not only were the tracks refreshing, but they were pretty damn good and alot more "trancey" and reminiscent of old school trance (think 1995-2000 era), which was nice.

Armin and Tiesto were never on that level to me, but Ferry pwns me every time.

Speaking of Ferry pwning, I went to see him at Sky this Spring. He threw down some great tracks towards the end.

I like Nick Warren's style and yes I agree with outgrowing sounds like Ferry, Tiesto, etc. But how does Nick Warren make Ferry look like a Fairy? Style? Ability?
Ferry Corsten has no problem Djing, sometimes Nick Warren's mixes sound a bit off imo.
