trash it all and move to a cabin in the woods where you chop up abducted 5th-grade girls and make stew out of their disemboweled remains :wtf:

McAfee has proven equally worthless...

not even halfway through my 1-year subscription, it relentlessly disabled its own virus protection and allowed two trojans on my laptop.

after a clean sweep of my HD, i let McAfee run some more, thinking the problem had been a virus to begin with. wrong. it continued to disable itself randomly every other day or so.

Norton & McAfee FTMFL :whip: :whip: :whip:

anti virus software is over rated
most of the viruses my friends had were from them being so gullible to click on a link in an AIM profile

I haven't had a virus in years, and I don't even use anti virus software

/firefox+adblock+common sense is all you need

Mcafee sucks. no really it does. I know some developers for them and the pretty much say that they leave TONS and TONS of junk code, many of which they really have no idea. Some were acutally suprised that it doesn't screw up more. Even more funnier is they said that they would be damned if they run that junk on their computer :p

I had the same problem...so I got a D-Link router. No problems since.
