| It seems like there should be a way to sort out alts and double accounts. Granted, I know very little about TCP/IP, so I may be assuming and thus making an ass out of me and stuff. But, really, is there not an efficient way for figuring out who is an alt? Expand my TCP/IP knowledge! |

Roger that. I was just thinking that it might make creating and using an alt a less attractive option if it were hell on the user to do so. |

The problem is that it could also be a problem for users using approximate IPs (I don't know how geographical that would be). |

there is no way to complete ward them off, so eh, I think lira put it best when he said ignore em ;) but no one will, it seems there are those who get off on making alts, and those who get off on finding alts.

Kinda - dynamic ips change within a range, so people using the same ISP could have problems (that's what I meant by approximate IPs). |

For heavens sake - the problem is not easy to solve otherwise we wouldnt have idiots running around the site on their 7th account like we do.
The admin are doing what we can with limited options to deal with the major problem causers, but you cannot email [email protected] everytime someone makes a 2nd account to cause abit of .
