So instead of spending money on a trip Ive decided to buy a vinyl turntable. I already have 2 cdj-200s and a djm-707, which Ill need to upgrade but for now I wont be using 3 channels so it doesnt matter that much. Anyways, I was looking at the technics and the numark ttx. So my question is which technics are the best and how do they compare to the ttx?

If I were you I'd just go with a standard Technics 1200mk2.

Go with the Technics. From all I've read, you'll have years of satisfied use.

If i were you i would go on the trip

those memories will last a life time, and take the time to travel when you have it - one day you wont have the time to travel.

you can buy a turntable a year from now, and you already have a sick setup.

plus the cost of vinyl...

my $0.02

The trip is to Daytona, FL to meet up with some friends. Main reason I dont want to go is Ive been getting screwed while traveling the last few times (delays and plane troubles) and ticket prices from Cali to Fl are like $400 at least these days. This was kind of an impromtu thing anyways, its not like anything Ive been planning for a while.

So anyways, the MK5 should be the one to get. Ill start looking at those. Thanks for the help.

Its not spring break. I graduated from school there last year. I already had my 'spring break' like vacation though.

Take the trip. Buy some technics after you save up more money. Buy Numark if money is an issue, and hey, if you look into Numark (which suprisingly aren't too shabby), I would buy the TT500 and forget the digital stuff of the TTX.
