This has been my av for over a year, and it seems like no one really noticed that it is a tabby cat looking into a mirror and seeing the reflection of a lion.

It is a normal sentence - it means that what you posted is a lot of bull.
Perhaps its a more british way of expressing that though, so I'll let you away with that one.
