Well..yes..i did a post of free one a long time ago.
this is a acoustic one :) http://www.e-phonic.com/plugins/ but the one i use the most is Dasample Electroacoustic..which isn't free :P gotta buy that one. |

| FL Slayer isn't that bad. You just to do a lot of trial and error. But, in any case you could try solo string, string theory or search on kvraudio.com |

I have been doing lots of research in the past with finding good guitar vsts. I tried them all.
my findings are (imo):
- best sample based: musiclab realguitar 2
- best acoustic guitar synth: cuttermusic revitar 2
- best electric (distorted) guitar synth: refx slayer 2
btw they are not free |

| I can agree on Thois' list...but hey...it's far easier to learn how to play a basic riff on your old abandoned acoustic guitar that your father played in his "hippie" years...then actually trying to get a good guitar sound out of your computer :) |
