Didnt know where els to put this, so its going here untill someone yells at me and deltes it

Hi~!
my name is newt, im from buffalo NY
been producing music for about 8 years now on various hardware and a bit of software
im a gear whore...love my synths, knobs light buttons make my world go round
i do anything from IDM,trance, techy, atomspheric, industrial, noise, and latley a lot of DnB and Gabber

so if you want to check a few tracks out, i have a few on myspace (all the songs on there are recorded live, no software used in creating the songs)

currently my gear list includes:
Waldorf microwave xt
Waldorf Q
Waldorf Rack Attack
Alesis Dm5
Emu Xtreme lead
Emu Mo Phatt
Kurzweil K2500s (for sale)
Korg Prophecy
Yamaha rm1x
Yamaha rs7k

i used to record into acid and chop my loops up a bit, but reciently i picked up a motu 828mk2 soundcard and sonar4...anyone else here using sonar?
im having a few midi problems...

im a huge gear head, i know synths, but im software illeterate :-/

so, Hi, nice to meet you, now let me hear your music...im always l;ookig to hear new music, so i hope to hear plenty from here

talk to you all soon

Your stuff sounds great :) How do you get those great kick drums? :D
n3wt15
all the track on the myspace page are a bit old, i really need to record some new material....need to stop being lazy lol
the drums in all those songs were all done with the Xtreme lead, and my rm1x mainly...some of the distorted drums were the rack attack through a line 6 distortion

though once i get some new material done and recorded, im going to redo all the old tracks that had the rm1x and do them with the rs7k...sound quality is sooooooo much better and thicker, and the the bass drums definatly have a harder punch to them

im glad you like the tracks, thank you much :-)

Greetings and welcome.

Haven't had a chance to check out your tracks yet but will do so. :)

I have Sonar at home but don't use it. Getting into Cubase SX3 at the moment and used to use Floops 5 point something.

It's always a bit of a mind f**k when you change to a different style of working and you can expect a learning curve.

I use softsynths mainly z3ta+, FM7, Halion and the Pro-53 but also use the Angelina, Llallapalooza, Subduer, Absynth and various others.

I'm still learning to produce and I guess the learning curve is life long but still enjoy it a lot.

Cheers

Happy posting and not getting replies.
