Havent had any problems with mine. Had them over a year now and sound just as good as when I pulled em outta the package.

Which is still not as good as a HD-25... ;)

Seriously though, headphones are a personal thing. I like the HD-25's because they have a pretty 'flat' sound to them. Things like bass and highs are not thickened by the headphones themselfs, which gives a very 'honest' representation of the sound. Perfect for mixing 'detailed' music like house and techno.

I don't like the Sony's and the Pioneers because of the 'folding' earshells. The swivels can break pretty easily, and replacement parts can be really expensive from what i've heard. I don't like the sound either, but that's just personal taste.

It all comes down to personal preference. I have used the HD-25's for over 3 years now, and all I had to replace was the padding on one-side because I somehow managed to pull it off in a way I wasn't supposed to.... I can't blame the headphones for my stupidity can I?

If you can, try some different brands and types. You will find out more about the different headphones than we could ever write.

i hardly believe single headphones can be that universal for djing and production... ;)

why dont i still see any reviews about Techs DH-1200. i see their popularity is growing, I see em once in a while on setup photos. the only reason i didnt buy em, cause i didnt have enough $$$, (dh1200 = 180, dj1210 = 100)

I've got the DH-1200.....they were a gift from my gf on my birthday. I love them to death. The clarity and Bass response is like nothing else. She has a pair of the DJ-1210s, we both love them, but there is much more bass and warmth in the DH-1200.

I definitely recommend them.

not trying to knock them but I've heard that they are quite heavy. Is this true? Obviously they are not uncomfortable though.

i personally love the senn hd25's i have a pair, i've used hdj1000, hd280pros, and sony v600 v700 and they are the best of that bunch.

I don't like the senn hd25's but thats because I prefer the swivel cans that I can sit around my kneck and lean into my shoulder... The senn's I have to keep picking up and putting to my ear.

Then again thats just me... The technics DH-1200's are nice... I prefer them over the DJ-1200's because of the bigger can swivel design. I still have yet to try out denons newest contenders... I currently use the stanton dj 3000's There nice sounding but have a bad history so why risk it... even though mine havent let me down.

yes rpdh are heavier comparing with pioneer. its very noticeable if its your first time testing headphones. but you will get used to its weight. plus its slopier when trying to have it on your neck comparing it with hdj
