Trance has evovled for better but
into two directions
1.Heavy Trance for jumping and bumping around, if u like these kind of trance, that is not trance its called Techno. and this is for brainless ravers. This is worst than cheez. THEY USE SOME OF THESE ELECTRONICA FOR HIP HOP> what a shame. hip hop heh?
2.And the new direction is "Progressive Trance/Ambient"
Dark, deep but suddenly turns to brighter side, meaningful and takes u to a journey in your mind and very inspiring,and above club-dance brainlessness.
SO IF U LIKE to dance and rave all ur life LISTEN TO PROGRESSIVE ,
and if u like an inspiring jounrney through ur mind, check out "Progressive Trance/Ambient"
This subgener will never be used in POP or HIP HOP, and its not for weak minded, this kind of music makes u think. This kind of music is not some happy, childish, dancish, its more like
NEW AGE/CHILL-OUT electronic music with a little more energy.
And its alternative state of mind, it can be epic, scary, spacy, and or showing some madness but not by using heavy TECHNO elements.
It could be melodious but not like ATB MELODY.
And the keyword for this gener is synths, its amazing how some producers make all these diffrent wonderfull Electronic Synths that makes u think.
That was just about it.
To me Cheezy trance and Heavy Rocking Progressive Techno house is the same, because they both have the same point. JUMPING
Ferry should not represent trance, he is way too commercial.
ARMIN VAN BUUREN deserves to represent trance. check out AVB serious. its the best no funky styles. His CDS are HIgher state of mind.
Sasha is great, but for gods sake dont use those FUNKY styles.
Digweed is getting better, he knows what he's doing.
Nick warren is good.
Tiesto with his Revoultion CD gained his respect to me.
CASS AND SLIDE THE BEST PRODUCERS
they are the modern Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis.
Northern Exposure CDS are great but COMMUNICATE SUCKED.
Ferry has alot of talent but he wastes it. |

What?? Communicate sucked!!.. I tend to (strongly) disagree. There's some timeless tracks on there, Pushin too hard, the Once More (ORC!) remix!! (amazing track), Voices, Barbarella, Tryantanic, etc. .. Honnestly, its the one of the prized CDs in my collection (as in the northern exposures. except vol 3 which wasn't too hot), Roaches, some Jimmy Van M..
Is it because you done like progressive that you dont like this CD ??(although its hard to classify as progressive this one.. its too early for that)

You seem to have some affliction to 'jumping'. I have an idea! Don't! (Psssst....I hear if you jump too high...you'll hit the moon!) :D You'd probably get in my way on the dance floor anyways...
This "New-Age Chillout" certainly sounds like you're trying to describe either DownTempo or some D'n'B songs I know...but then you threw in synths??? Hmmmm...

Digweed has been ALWAYS spinning HIS BEST, where ever he IS :) right now Sasha is overrated, Digweed remains where he's been always, at the underground level ;) Tiesto and his Revolution CD? that CD is the one the biggest CRAP cd's ive ever heard :rolleyes: when Tiesto spun back in the days of 99, that was real Tiesto..now he's a wannabe of trying to spin progressive..which HE CAN'T :clown: but if he gained respekt of that aspect from you, good then :D |

Ok, apart from the fact that i don't understand what you are trying to argue (if you are), maybe you're just posting an opinion (probably). But wtf is ATB MELODY? And what is NEW AGE/CHILL - OUT electronic music? There are many examples for this, and they'll be different for every one...Thats why you back up whatever you're trying to say, like Firestarter mentioned. So ppl can say whether they agree or disagree |

Damn you say ferry is commercial?.. haha i think you should stick to your dj danni D and dj Delerious... haha.. corsten commercial thats a joke.. corsten is an amazing producer.. with alot of variety to his style.. take a look at the diffference between gouryella projects and system F projects.. total variety.. plus he has amazing uplifting composure to his tracks.. high energy, driving and amazing melodic strategy!
Corsten is a god.. if u want commercial go listen to some darude
