So I found out some more research of the guy who committed suicide.

One of these, an NBC story, runs with the typically lurid headlines about "Dangerous Salvia", but also goes on to report that "Brett was using a prescription acne medication that has been linked to depression" (www.nbc10.com/news/8628557/detail.html)

So I went to the Acne Resource Centre website (www.acne-resource.org) and on a page about prescription dangers I read…

Isotretinoin (sometimes prescribed under the brand name of Accutane) is a highly potent, oral medication that is prescribed for very severe acne. WARNING: "Accutane may cause depression, psychosis and, rarely, suicidal ideation, suicide attempts and suicide."

about 4 minutes in length.

I live in Delaware and I remember the whole story(almost). The kid was smoking salvia everyday for over a year. He went to a private all boy school and his uppity parents had no idea what he was doing. So when they found out, he told them that it gave him insight to himself and the universe. So one of our representatives Karen Peterson wrote the bill banning Salvia from my state. But to me there is a deeper problem here. The kid in my eyes was already suicidal from the door and they needed something to blame it on. And the kids mother said its a shame that her son had to have a drug bill named after him, and that she was devastated.

I have never done salvia but from what I have read in our paper some people really enjoy smoking it. And doesnt it only last for like ten minutes anyway Maybe he should have drank. Would they have outlawed alcohol?::conf:

Yea, 10 minutes at most really. I read on an article someone quoted saying something like "I wouldn't want to be driving and there be a driver next to me under the influence of salvia"

There's no way in hell someone could drive a car while on salvia, let alone open a door :wtf:
Mr. Pink
i have done salvia a few times.

the last time i did it........i thought the left side of the room was WEST, and the right was EAST.

then i thought the chair on the west was battling the couch on the east. :wtf: :wtf:

but all ended in peace when the middle formed a unified front among them.

the universe ripped into two for a second. oh well.

thank god for the happy middle :thepirate
kadomony
what the :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

i just saw it on the news.
the kid was taking antidepressants and smoking salvia.
he killed himself.

so OF COURSE it haaaaad to be the salvia.
gimme a ing break.:whip:

thats whats ed about the media... they can write whatever they want and people will be lured into their trap. aaand since americans have such a high living standard and too many house wifes, they go out and protest, cus bitches aint happy just watching their shows in the morning hours, they gotta protest.. so the moral is; either have a working wife or if she has absolutely no skills to be exploited, keep the bitch on a ing leash...

SALVIA NOW ILLEGAL IN DELAWARE, USA

On May 2nd, 2006, Governor Ruth Ann Minner of Delaware signed Senate Bill
259, known as Brett's Law. Salvia divinorum is now included in that state's
list of Schedule I controlled substances, putting it in the same category as
heroin and LSD. The text of the bill only mentions Salvia divinorum. It does
not mention its primary psychoactive constituent, salvinorin A, nor any
other specific chemical constituents of the plant. It could be argued that
the law does not apply to possession of such compounds.
